Prostitutos presenta su nuevo CD “Sinceramente, realmente”. Recientemente tocaron en Pilar con gran éxito. Ahora van en búsqueda de todo el país.
¿Cómo fue el origen de Prostitutos?
PROSTITUTOS arrancó a fines de 2005, durante el año 2006 compusimos varias canciones, ensayamos mucho, grabamos el “EP 2006″ y empezamos a presentarnos en vivo. Desde el primer momento tratamos de tomarnos las cosas de una manera profesional, por eso, ensayamos un año entero antes de salir a tocar, no queríamos descuidar ningún detalle.
Con influencias variadas como Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Supergrass, The Kooks, Kinks, The Ramones, The Cure ¿cómo definen el estilo de la banda?
Todas esas bandas tienen algo en común, son todas bandas de rock con algo de pop. Tienen canciones con grandes melodías, que las escuchás y van directo al inconsciente, y otras super distorsionadas y desprolijas. PROSTITUTOS es un híbrido que va por ese lado.
¿Qué visión tienen hoy de sus demos ”EP 2006″ y “Sinceramente, Realmente”?, ¿cómo fue la experiencia de grabarlos? ¿qué diferencias notables ven entre ambos?
Tenemos un gran afecto por ambos EP. El primero nos abrió varias puertas y nos empezó a dar a conocer y gracias a eso pudimos llegar a grabar el segundo. Por otro lado, hay varias diferencias. El “EP 2006″ lo grabamos con canciones que prácticamente no habíamos ensayado, lo fuimos armando en la compu, por eso suena más limpio y tranquilo que el segundo. Para grabar “Sinceramente, Realmente” buscamos un productor (Rodrígo Crespo) ensayamos mucho, armamos los temas en la sala y después fuimos al estudio a grabar. Además, “Sinceramente…” fue masterizado en los estudios 332 por Pablo Ruiz.
Están presentando recientemente su nuevo CD, ¿cómo fue la recepción tanto del disco como en los shows?
La verdad que muy buena. “Sinceramente, Realmente” fue editado para repartir a la prensa y se puede escuchar y bajar de www.prostitutos.com.ar . Como este año estuvimos trabajando mucho para terminar el EP y grabamos nuestro primer video clip (del tema “Todo Gira”) pudimos presentarlo poco. Tocamos en Rosario, en la Castorera y en Pilar y la verdad que las tres fechas fueron muy buenas. Nos dimos a conocer a muchas personas que les gustó la banda.
¿Cómo trabajan el tema de la imagen? Por lo que pude ver la estética de la banda e incluso el video clip es particular
Tratamos de que la gente que viene a los conciertos venga a ver un buen espectáculo. Intentamos hacerlo profesionalmente, y, como somos una banda chica, una de  las pocas cosas que podemos hacer y variar es el vestuario y la escenografía. Con el primer EP la estética giraba en torno al negro, blanco y rojo. Ahora es un poco más libre, vamos viendo que conseguimos y si está bueno lo usamos.
Tuvieron la oportunidad de tocar en zona norte (Pilar, Olivos), en la Capital y en Rosario, ¿cómo es la recepción del público en cada una de estas regiones? ¿se sienten más cómodos “jugando” de locales?
Está bueno hacer las dos cosas. Tocar en shows propios te da la tranquilidad que a la gente que te va a ver le gusta la banda pero corrés otros riesgos. Sos el organizador y tenés que estar en todo para que las cosas salgan como uno quiere. Por otro lado, cuando tocás para el público de otras bandas estás dando a conocer tu material a cientos de personas que no te conocen pero también corrés el riesgo que no les guste lo que hacés.
¿Qué consejo le podrían dar a una banda que recién comienza en el camino del rock?
Que sean auténticos, que sientan las canciones que componen y que ensayen mucho. También hay que tocar y grabar bastante y aprovechar todo lo que te da Internet para difundir tu material prácticamente gratis.
Compartieron escena con bandas como Villanos, Bicicletas, Don Adams, Mataplantas, Tan Biónica, Superhéroes, ¿los une algo a todas ellas o fue mera coincidencia?
A los chicos de Tan Biónica (que además participaron del nuevo EP), los de Don Adams y Villanos los conocemos y nos gusta lo que hacen. Mataplantas y Bicicletas son dos grandes bandas y con ellos compartimos un Niceto. Con Superhéroes tocamos en Sira (Olivos) por un amigo en común.
